AUDITION
PROFESSIONAL COURSE IN CONTEMPORARY DANCE
Coline is a full time training for young dancers. It is located in the premises of the Maison de la Danse Intercommunale in Istres / France.
Its main purpose is to form dancers by developing their artistic and technical skills, confronting them to the realities of the profession and by leading them to a real artistic commitment.
Coline brings the trainees to a professional level in contemporary dance, with a daily program including classes, workshops, repertory pieces and performances in France and abroad.
The course covers a period of 21 months and develops 4 main topics :
- a daily training with classes in contemporary and ballet classes ; workshops which offer an approach to various artistic sensibilities and processes through improvisation and composition,
- a work on repertory pieces as well as original pieces with guest choreographers,
- a stage experience with public rehearsals and performances in France and abroad along with an artistic exchange in order to relate apprentice dancer to its professional field,
- a work of sensibilisation in contemporary dance towards children in schools.
